Gorica Micic

Gorica has been working in the field of psychology and sleep medicine for over 10 years and her expertise are relevant to understanding the causes, diagnoses, assessment and treatment of various sleep disorders. As a Clinical Psychologist, she treats and manages sleep, circadian rhythm (body clock) and mental health disorders across the entire lifespan, from infancy until late adulthood.

Through her in-depth knowledge of sleep medicine and psychology, she is uniquely placed to deliver best-practice and evidence-based treatments that are tailored and appropriate to the individual, and their families where appropriate.  

Recently becoming a mum, Gorica now also understands, first-hand, the difficulty of managing inadequate sleep – her own and her child’s!

Gorica is also a Research Fellow in Sleep Health at the Flinders Health & Medical Institute, Flinders University and works closely with world-renowned experts in adult and paediatric sleep. She conducts research projects in the area of sleep, publishes extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presents work at local, national and international conferences. This work places her at the forefront of the most up-to-date and scientifically-supported practices for the treatment of sleep disorders, that she directly applies to her clinical work.

She actively supports student training and research through supervision across Honours, Masters and PhD programs. She is an active member of the Australasian Sleep Association, as well as the Sleep Health Foundation, Australian Psychological Society and Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy.
